The Order of St John and St John Ambulance was founded nine hundred years ago. Today this complex international charity provides a high profile range of welfare, educational and medical services worldwide.
Sandcliff and its partners were asked to conduct a strategic review of the whole of fundraising and related activity in order to enable the reverse of increasing budget shortfalls; revitalise the 900th Anniversary Appeal and remedy skills and personnel gaps within the fundraising team. In 1999, the Council of St John enthusiastically adopted the strategy and commissioned Sandcliff to lead the process of implementation and development.
During the subsequent year, Sandcliff enabled:
- The establishment of new fundraising directorate, with its full integration into Council, Policy Board, Management Board and Counties
- Achievement of 1999 and 2000 budgets
